Omnichannel Support Done Right: Beyond the Buzzword
Omnichannel is often mistaken for multichannel—being present everywhere. True omnichannel means the conversation follows the customer seamlessly, no matter where it started.
The foundation is a shared history. When an agent can see that a customer began on chat this morning and is now calling, they can pick up exactly where things left off, without asking the customer to repeat themselves.
Consistency of voice matters just as much. Whether a customer reads an email or hears a voice on the phone, the tone, accuracy and warmth should feel like the same brand.
Start small. Connect two channels well before adding a third. A tightly integrated pair beats a loosely stitched-together five every time.
